Veronica Henry was a television script writer before turning her hand to fiction. She has published six novels which she describes as realistic escapism - her characters might have Agent Provocateur knickers drying on the Aga, but their problems and dilemmas are ones everyone can identify with. She is also on the writing team of Bafta-award winning Holby City.

Three of her books - Honeycote, Making Hay and Just a Family Affair - feature the glamorous and slightly dysfunctional Liddiard family of Honeycote Ales. The others are Wild Oats, An Eligible Bachelor, Love on the Rocks and, to be published in 2009, Marriage and Other Games.

Veronica lives in North Devon with her husband and three sons. She likes white burgundy, black truffles and red underwear.
